Peter Devries took first place in the men’s pro division of the 2010 Rip Curl Stew surfing competition at Cox Bay Sunday. He walked away with $5,000 and a guaranteed spot into this year’s O’Neill Cold Water Classic in Tofino. Devries has won the Stew three years in a row now. Beating the Kings in Powell River twice over the past three days, the Bulldogs were relishing their 3-1 series lead. But the Kings came to the Dog Pound with two things in mid: getting revenge and staying alive.
